ork as part of WSP's GCC UK Water team in Bengaluru. L
ead design management for mid-scale and complex projects , managing resources, timelines, and budgets from concept through to completion. E
nsure projects comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. M
anage client relationships and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver effective, integrated solutions. L
ead client and project meetings, reporting on progress, financials, and addressing technical challenges. D
rive "Safety by Design" practices and ensure compliance with UK CDM (Construction Design & Management) Regulations. E
nsuring clear communication through collaborating effectively with both internal WSP teams and external stakeholders to support the delivery of projects. B
eing a civil lead of major Infra and Non-Infra projects. L
ead the technical delivery of a range of projects relating to water and wastewater infrastructure works from Bengaluru office. L
ead day to day liaison with our UK PMs and engineers to ensure project deliverables are developed in accordance with client scope, budget, timescales and quality requirements. D
rive innovation and digital delivery culture to the next level. S
upport the Team Leader with resource and other management duties. S
upport technical development of Engineers, Technicians and Graduates. C
arryout checks and reviews of projects, assuring quality delivery right first time. K

ey Competencies / Skills

xcellent command of written and verbal English. C
andidate should have a clear and demonstrable technical understanding of standards and norms pertaining to UK Water Industry. P
roblem solving and originality. C
omputer literate, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. S
uccessful candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated individual who will take on a Leadership role in project work, focused on delivery to the client and technical excellence. The role requires management of several projects and becoming involved in design at an early stage. The ability to plan and design deliverables against UK engineering standards for each stage of a project is a pre-requisite and training and guidance will be provided where necessary. C
ultural awareness, conscientious and an open mind and excellent communication skills are essential requirements for the role. H
igh degree of self-motivation and ability to motivate others. A
bility to work under pressure and with minimum of supervision. A
ccountable and see the big picture of the project to achieve the best result for the client C

illingness to travel to the UK for short term assignments and training. S

.Tech, Master of Science (MS) or bachelor's degree (BE) in Civil/ Chemical/ Environmental Engineering. Master's degree preferred. 1
4 to 18 years' experience preferably based on delivering projects to the UK Water Industry. P
rofessional accreditation from ICE or CIWEM. E
xperience working on planning and design of water and wastewater treatment plants projects is a plus. C
lear understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure design concepts, treatment process and related hydraulics. C
andidate should have clear and demonstrable technical understanding of standards and norms specific to UK Water Industry. S
trong experience reviewing design drawings developed by CAD/BIM Technicians on software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit and Plant 3D. M
