Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AC Side Design & Engineering Engineer to
join our solar power project team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design,
planning, and optimization of all AC-side electrical systems from the inverter output to
the grid interconnection point. This includes medium voltage (MV) and high voltage (HV)
systems, transformer sizing, protection systems, and grid compliance engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

? Design and develop AC-side electrical systems for utility-scale and commercial
solar PV projects.
? Prepare and review single line diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings, cable
schedules, and BOQs.
? Perform load flow analysis, short circuit studies, protection coordination, and
grounding system design using tools like ETAP, DIgSILENT, or similar.
? Specify and select MV/HV switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, protection
relays, and other electrical components.
? Coordinate with the DC-side design team, civil team, and project management
for integrated system design.

? Develop grid interconnection designs, perform technical studies for utility
compliance, and manage related submissions.
? Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, and utility requirements (e.g.,
IEC, NEC, IEEE, local grid codes).
? Support procurement with technical specifications, datasheets, and vendor
evaluation for AC-side components.
? Provide technical support during construction and commissioning, including site
inspections, troubleshooting, and quality checks.
? Maintain detailed project documentation and as-built drawings.

Qualifications:

? UG: B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering

? PG: M.Tech in Electrical Engineering (preferred)

Experience :

? 4 -15 years of experience in solar power project design, with a focus on AC-side
systems.
? Strong understanding of MV and HV electrical design, including protection
systems and interconnection requirements.
? Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT, PowerFactory, or similar tools.
? Familiarity with grid codes, interconnection processes, and utility coordination.
? Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
? Must have independently managed detailed design and engineering of:
? At least one ground-mounted project of 25 MWp or more at a single
location.

? At least one rooftop solar project of 1 MWp at a single location.
