Position OverviewDesign Manager - Architecture to lead architectural design for commercial building projects in Bangalore. Manage design teams, oversee project delivery, and ensure compliance with regulations and client requirements.

Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesDesign Leadership

Lead architectural design teams on commercial building projects



Review and approve architectural drawings and specifications



Coordinate design development from concept to construction documentation



Ensure design quality and standards throughout project delivery



Project Management

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and consultants



Manage design schedules and deliverable timelines



Conduct design reviews with internal teams and stakeholders



Prepare tender documents and construction drawings



Provide technical support during construction phase



Compliance & Standards

Ensure designs comply with local building codes and zoning regulations



Coordinate approvals and clearances with local authorities



Implement BIS codes, NBC guidelines, and relevant standards



Stay updated with building regulations and industry practices



Team & Client Management

Mentor junior architects and design staff



Participate in client presentations and design meetings



Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and authorities



Required QualificationsEducation & Experience

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)



10-12 years experience in commercial architecture



Track record managing commercial projects (office, retail, hospitality, mixed-use)



Technical Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp



Knowledge of building systems, materials, and construction methods



Understanding of sustainable design and green building certifications



Experience with BIM processes



Core Skills

Team leadership and management



Communication and presentation abilities



Multi-project management capabilities



Problem-solving and decision-making



Knowledge of local building codes and approval processes



Preferred QualificationsPost-graduate degree in Architecture



Council of Architecture (COA) registration



International project experience



Smart building technologies knowledge



Project management experience
