QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Work Experience

12 to 15 years of experience in Value Engineering, Component engineering of electromechanical products. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Core Responsibilities:

Expertise on VAVE concept and have good experience in handling VE projects. Must have completed minimum 3 major VE savings projects. Hands on working knowledge of Siemens NX 3D CAD software & Team Centre. Hands on experience in New Product Design & Development (NPI/NPD) of electro-mechanical products. Good knowledge in diecasting, plastics & sheet metal component design & development. Good Knowledge on the Seal designs, IP ratings and rubber seal materials. Good knowledge on material selection for the parts based on application. Must have experience in working with Global teams and communicating with them technically. Good knowledge on GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, dimensions, and structural analysis. Knowledge on the Engineering Change Notification process for design changes. Ensure design of components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards. Establish and support knowledge-sharing networks throughout the HARTING Technology Group to promote collaboration and innovation. Organize, conduct VAVE to ensure design / cost effectiveness and verification of ECP, in close cooperation with R&D Engineer, Project Manager, Production and Sourcing members, check for optimal feasibility and if necessary, make additions or corrections.
General Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Extensive knowledge of VAVE. Proficient in project management, capable of planning and executing projects related to the development of plastics and rubber materials. Strong communication skills, high self-motivation, and the ability to organize independently. A passion for innovation and a strong drive for finding new solutions, combined with a global mindset. Willingness to undertake occasional business trips lasting several days. A solid awareness of cost considerations. * Fluent in English.
