Design : Strategy Development : Market insights
1. Undertake market and consumer research to understand the megatrends, socioeconomic trends to identify
opportunities
2. Lead the consumer / market research aligned to the identified megatrends to develop the design directions for
the products and present to the relevant stakeholders
3. Develop the detailed design calendar aligned to the marketing calendar and cascade it to the team and the
NPD team
4.Provide inputs to the development of the annual operating plan based on the resource and budget estimates
envisaged for the year
Design : Product Development : Design Development Jewellery
1. Participate the product brief from the marketing team to capture the requirements and develop the design brief
2. Allocate the projects to the team members based on the work load and capability for the development of the
design concept
3. Evaluate the design idea and sketches and shortlist the designs aligned to the requirements
4. Liaise with the technical managers for the development of the technical drawing to ensure its alignment to the defined budget
5. Present the design concept and technical drawing to the marketing team and other relevant stakeholders to garner required approvals
6. Oversee the development of the RPT sample and present it to the NPD, sales team and other stakeholders for incorporating their point of view
7. Liaison with the NPD team in the development of the prototype and ensure that it meets the quality and design requirements
8. Showcase the final prototype to the various stakeholders viz. marketing, retail, senior leadership team to garner their inputs and ensure that the recommendations are incorporated
Review the PBPM developed along with all the technical specifications and release to the manufacturing team for mass production
Design : Vendor Management
Evaluate the performance of the vendors and recommend appropriate actions
People Leadership and Talent Management
1. Mentor and motivate team using collaborative approach.
2.Drive a culture of performance and ensure that employees are engaged.
3.Nurture culture of innovation and creativity
4.Liaise with HR on vacant positions.
5. Conduct recruitment interviews for key positions in the division; Monitor the implementation of the design Training Program for the division
Work Experience
High jewellery expertise, Trend and fashion knowledge
Graduation in design from a premiere college
12+ years of relevant experience in accessories design
Should have understanding of Premium Jewellery Design Segment.
