Job Summary:

The

Design Head - HVAC Cleanroom

will lead the complete design function for HVAC & Cleanroom projects, ensuring the delivery of efficient, compliant, and innovative engineering solutions tailored for pharmaceutical, biotech, and high-tech facilities. This leadership role demands expertise in cleanroom design, HVAC systems, and regulatory requirements, along with the ability to manage and mentor a team of design engineers. The candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, reviewing, and finalizing detailed engineering deliverables to meet client expectations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Lead the HVAC cleanroom design team, overseeing all design activities from concept to final documentation.

2) Develop and review HVAC and cleanroom layout designs as per cGMP, WHO, and regulatory requirements.

3) Ensure designs meet client specifications, energy efficiency standards, and project budgets.

4) Coordinate with sales, estimation, and project execution teams to ensure smooth project workflow.

5) Guide and mentor junior designers and engineers, fostering technical excellence within the team.

6) Review and finalize technical drawings, equipment specifications, BOQs, and design documentation.

7) Ensure adherence to project deadlines while maintaining high standards of design accuracy and innovation.

8) Attend technical discussions with clients, consultants, and internal teams as the lead technical expert.

9) Keep updated with the latest technologies and design tools in HVAC and cleanroom systems.

Qualifications:

Educational Qualification

:

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory). M.E. / M.Tech or additional certification in HVAC/cleanroom systems (preferred).

Experience

:

10+ years of experience in HVAC & cleanroom system design, with at least 3 years in a team leadership role. Hands-on experience in designing HVAC systems for pharmaceutical, healthcare, or high-containment environments.

Technical Skills

:

Expertise in HVAC design software (HAP, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, etc.). Strong knowledge of cleanroom classifications (ISO 14644), airflow patterns, pressure zoning, and terminal filtration. Understanding of regulatory and safety compliance (cGMP, WHO, EU-GMP, FDA). Ability to interpret and generate P&IDs, duct routing, equipment layout, and utility interfaces.

Soft Skills

:

Strong leadership, mentoring, and project management capabilities. Excellent communication and coordination skills for internal and client-facing discussions. High attention to detail with a focus on quality, innovation, and timelines. Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.

Note :- Candidate must have experience into HVAC Cleanroom in Pharmaceutical sector/ industry.
