The Design Head will lead the entire design function and drive the creative, technical, and strategic vision for all company projects. This role involves managing the complete design lifecycle--from concept development to execution--while ensuring innovation, quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. The candidate will lead multidisciplinary design teams and collaborate closely with leadership, consultants, authorities, and project execution teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Define design vision, standards, and processes across all projects (residential, commercial, luxury villas, farmhouses, etc.).
Lead, mentor, and build high-performing in-house design teams and external consultants.
Provide strategic direction for sustainable, innovative, and customer-centric designs.
Design Planning & Coordination
Oversee conceptualization, schematic designs, detailed drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
Coordinate with architects, interior designers, structural, MEP, facade, landscape consultants, and PMC teams.
Ensure seamless integration of design with project schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
Quality & Compliance
Review and approve design deliverables to ensure aesthetic consistency, functionality, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct design feasibility checks, value engineering, and site evaluations.
Facilitate approvals from statutory bodies and ensure adherence to building codes, bye-laws, and environmental norms.
Innovation & Design Excellence
Drive adoption of new materials, technologies, and sustainable design practices.
Promote green building standards such as LEED/GRIHA (preferred).
Ensure best-in-class user experience, functionality, and aesthetic appeal across projects.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with internal leadership, sales, marketing, and procurement teams for design alignment.
Handle design-related client presentations, modifications, and feedback.
Resolve design conflicts and ensure timely decision-making.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong expertise in architecture, construction methods, building codes, and urban design principles.
Proficiency in design tools: AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, SketchUp, Photoshop, etc.
Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and large-scale projects.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of sustainable design practices, green building certifications preferred.

B.Arch (Architecture)
Preferred:
Masters in Urban Design/Planning/Design Management or related field
Experience:
10-15 years of experience in architectural design, design management, or design leadership.
Proven experience managing mid to large-scale residential, commercial, luxury, or mixed-use developments.
Experience in real estate, construction, hospitality, or luxury housing is highly desirable.
