Role Summary
The Design Executive will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving agricultural implements and machinery components. The role involves preparing detailed drawings, supporting product development, coordinating with production and quality teams, and ensuring designs meet functional, safety, and cost requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Product Design & Development
Design agricultural machinery components and assemblies as per technical requirements.
Develop 2D drawings and 3D models for new and existing products.
Modify and improve existing designs to enhance performance, durability, and cost efficiency.
Drawing & Documentation
Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
Ensure design documentation complies with company and industry standards.
Maintain proper records of design revisions and approvals.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, and R&D teams for smooth implementation of designs.
Support the manufacturing team during prototype development and trial runs.
Address design-related issues during production and field usage.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure designs meet safety norms, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in design reviews, testing, and validation activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives based on field feedback.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Educational Qualification
Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar tools.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes like fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly.
Understanding of agricultural implements and tractor-operated machinery (preferred).
Basic knowledge of GD&T, materials, and tolerance standards.
Experience
2-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, preferably in agricultural or heavy engineering equipment.
Personal Attributes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and products.

As per experience and industry standards.
