Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Design & Estimation Engineers to support engineering design, costing, and proposal activities for industrial strainers, flowmeters, and related equipment. This role requires strong technical fundamentals, commercial awareness, and the ability to independently handle EPC and overseas enquiries.

This position is ideal for mature professionals (30+ years) who can take ownership of design and estimation responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

Preparation of GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and layout drawings

Review and interpretation of datasheets, P&IDs, technical specifications, and BOQs

Selection of materials (CS, SS, Duplex, Super Duplex, ASTM B148, etc.) Compliance with applicable ASME, ASTM, ISO, and project-specific standards

Engineering support during manufacturing and inspection stages

Estimation & Proposals

Preparation of cost estimates based on customer specifications and tender documents

Technical input for quotations, TBEs, deviations, and clarifications

Coordination with procurement, production, and vendors for accurate costing

Support sales and project teams during bid and order stages

Coordination & Support

Interface with internal teams (sales, projects, production, QA/QC)

Vendor technical discussions and evaluation

Support FAT/SAT, inspections, and client technical discussions when required

Candidate Profile

Age: Preferably 30 years and above

Experience: 6-12 years in design & estimation of industrial equipment

Qualification: BE / BTech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Strong working knowledge of:

Industrial strainers, pressure equipment, piping components, or instrumentation

EPC tendering and overseas project requirements

AutoCAD (mandatory); SolidWorks / Inventor is an added advantage

Good understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers

Ability to work independently and manage multiple enquiries simultaneously
