Job Summary

The Design & Estimation Engineer will be responsible for

engineering design, technical evaluation, and cost estimation

of

instrumentation tube fittings, valves, manifolds, DBB valves, and related accessories

. The role requires strong knowledge of

instrumentation standards, material selection, and project estimation

for EPC and end-user projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

Prepare

design drawings, GA drawings, and manufacturing drawings

for: Instrumentation tube fittings Ball valves, needle valves 2-way / 3-way / 5-way manifolds DBB / Instrument isolation valves Review

P&ID, Hook-up drawings, instrument datasheets, and line lists

. Perform

material selection

based on service conditions (pressure, temperature, corrosion). Ensure compliance with

ASME, ASTM, API, ISO, and client specifications

. Support

ISS, TDS, compliance & deviation statements

. Coordinate with production and quality teams for

manufacturability

.

Estimation & Costing

Prepare

detailed cost estimation

and BOQ for: Tube fittings Instrumentation valves and manifolds Analyze

RFQs, ITBs, and client technical requirements

. Prepare

techno-commercial offers

in coordination with sales. Optimize design for

cost efficiency without compromising standards

. Maintain pricing database for materials, machining, testing, and coatings.

Technical Support

Provide

pre-bid and post-order technical support

. Attend

technical clarifications with clients, EPCs, and consultants

. Support inspection, FAT, and document submission. Prepare and review

datasheets, QAP, MTC, and inspection documents

.
Required Skills & Knowledge

Strong knowledge of

instrumentation tube fittings & valves

. Hands-on experience with

manifold design and pressure ratings

. Familiarity with standards: ASME B16, ASTM A276 / A182 API 6D / API 598 NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 Proficiency in

AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Inventor

. Understanding of

machining processes & materials

(SS316/316L, Duplex, Inconel, Monel). Good knowledge of

pressure classes (3000-15000 PSI)

. Ability to read

client specifications and project documents

.
Qualification

Bachelor's / Diploma in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering

Certification in

design software

is an added advantage.
