Job Title: BOQ / BOM / Estimation Incharge
Department: Project Management / Costing & Estimation
Reports To: Director
Location: Delhi (or as per project requirements)
2. Job Purpose
To manage and oversee all activities related to estimation, costing, and quantity take-offs for architectural and interior design projects. The BOQ/BOM/Estimation Incharge ensures accuracy, cost efficiency, and transparency in all project financial evaluations from concept to execution.
3. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Estimation & Costing
Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) based on design drawings and specifications.
Conduct rate analysis for materials, finishes, and labor components.
Estimate project budgets during design and pre-tender stages.
Coordinate with design and project teams to finalize cost plans.
Ensure that estimates reflect realistic market conditions and updated vendor rates.
B. Tendering & Procurement Support
Prepare tender documents, technical specifications, and cost schedules.
Analyze vendor quotations and prepare comparative statements.
Support the purchase team in vendor selection and negotiation.
Review and verify contractor bills against BOQ and work progress.
C. Cost Control & Monitoring
Track actual costs vs. budgeted costs throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify deviations, cost overruns, and recommend corrective measures.
Maintain a database of historical cost data for reference in future projects.
Assist finance and project heads in cost reporting and forecasting.
D. Coordination & Documentation
Coordinate with Design, Project, and Procurement departments for quantity validation and approvals.
Maintain systematic records of all quantity take-offs, estimates, and revisions.
Provide cost inputs during design development and value engineering discussions.
Ensure BOQ/BOM documentation aligns with company standards and client contracts.
4. Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of construction materials, finishes, and methods.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software (e.g., CostX, Candy, or similar).
Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Analytical and cost forecasting skills.
Good communication and coordination abilities across departments.
Knowledge of interior design, architecture, and MEP components preferred.
5. Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
Certification in Estimation or Quantity Surveying (preferred).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
