Scope:
Design and develop products and tools to be able to produce product that meets high quality requirements and performance standards. Study and analysis of inputs received and process requirements to provide best possible solution. Proactive support to generate sales numbers by providing optimized & innovative customized solutions. Support sales teams and external stakeholder to deliver ultimate customer experience. Accountability and ownership of design tasks with application mindset and operational excellence in doing so.
Key Performance areas:

Work Area Proposal / Quotation Design.

• Evaluation of Enquiries in terms of complete information, business Strategy & feasibility.
• Should be able to make the best proposal drawing based on input given by stake holders by using preferably NX or AutoCAD
• Support field sales in the preparation of concept and understanding application of special tools.
• Build proposal for specific application in order to convert opportunity into Coromant business. Visit as and when necessary to customers for identified projects / opportunities to study application and offer best possible solution.
• Act as a role model/coach for sales engineers and distributor team in terms of right design for the tool.
• Collaboration and communication with Global Design Offices.
• Monitoring of high value opportunities and proactive support to convert them in sales.
• Monitor progress and work towards objectives set for quotation design lead times.

Work Area Manufacturing Designs.

• Responsible to create manufacturing designs and drawings using NX by evaluation of enquiries in terms of complete information, business strategy, and feasibility.
• Ensure design quality and make designs are as per specific production unit requirement and cost effective to produce.
• Think from application perspective while making designs.
• Effective use of business systems and tools available. e.g., Design Wizard, ECTR, CAPP, PLM.
• Documentations of designs as per standard processes set.
• Monitor progress and work towards objectives set for manufacturing design lead times & Delivery Precision.
• FEM as and when required.

Work Area Project support.

• Engineering support for projects of specific requirements from sales team / customers.
• Work in identified Product Development Projects (PDP).
• Active participation design automation R&D projects e.g. Creating UDF\xe2\x80\x99s

Your Profile:
Graduate in Mechanical/Production Engineering. Diploma Holders with exceptional talent and relevant skills can also be considered Minimum 2- 3 Years of experience in metal cutting design. Knowledge of technical design, NX, AutoCAD, Machine Tool, Coromant products, Different machining Processes, Different Manufacturing segment components, Basic CAM. Metal cutting world knowledge, IT skills, English Language Behaviours, Proactive, Accountability, Initiative taking, Problem solving, Customer service orientation, Teamwork, Collaboration, Cross functional / Cross culture working. Time management, Communication skills (Listening, Oral and Written Communication). Self driven, Learning attitude and knowledge Sharing.
