Title: Design Engineer-Mechanical
Location: Bangalore

:
Mechanical Design & Drafting

• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks for components, assemblies, and tooling.
• Ensure designs meet functional, manufacturability, and safety requirements.
• Perform tolerance analysis and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

2. Assembly Manual Documentation

• Create and maintain detailed assembly instructions and manuals.
• Include exploded views, part lists, and step-by-step procedures for technicians and end-users.

3. PDM & PLM Activities

• Manage CAD data and documentation using Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
• Support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes including BOM creation, version control, and release workflows.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards throughout the product lifecycle.

4. Change Management (ECO/ECR)

• Initiate and process Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the impact of changes.
• Ensure timely implementation and documentation of changes in PLM systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modelling, 2D drafting, and assembly design.
• Experience in creating assembly manuals and technical documentation for manufacturing and service teams.
• Hands-on experience with Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as SolidWorks PDM, Windchill, or Teamcenter.
• Familiarity with Engineering Change Management processes including ECO (Engineering Change Orders) and ECR (Engineering Change Requests).
• Understanding of GD&T ANSI Y14.5M, tolerance stack-up.
