Design Engineer - Way finding & Retail Projects

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled

Design Engineer

specializing in

wayfinding and retail design projects

. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing

detailed technical, shop, and fabrication drawings

for signage systems and retail environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and collaboration with design, project, and production teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to installation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare precise

technical, fabrication, and installation drawings

for wayfinding and retail projects. Translate

conceptual designs

into

production-ready CAD drawings

. Collaborate with

design, project management, and fabrication teams

for design validation and implementation. Develop

signage location plans, message schedules, and mounting/fixing details

. Prepare

shop drawings, GA drawings, and BOQs

as per approved concepts. Ensure all drawings comply with

fabrication standards

,

site conditions

, and

safety norms

. Conduct

site surveys and take accurate measurements

to support technical accuracy. Coordinate with

vendors and suppliers

to validate materials and ensure cost-effective solutions. Maintain

drawing documentation, revisions, and version control

throughout the project cycle.

Required Skills & Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree

in

Mechanical, Civil, Architecture, or Interior Design Engineering

.

2-3 years of relevant experience

in

signage, wayfinding, or retail store design drawings

. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

,

SolidWorks

, or

SketchUp

(3D knowledge preferred). Strong knowledge of

materials

(ACP, acrylic, SS, MS, vinyl, LED, etc.) and

fabrication methods

. Ability to interpret

architectural and interior drawings

accurately. Sound understanding of

mounting techniques, fixing details, and fabrication tolerances

. Exceptional

attention to detail, precision, and adherence to timelines

. Basic knowledge of

branding, graphics, and visual merchandising

will be advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in

retail rollout projects, fuel station branding, or public infrastructure wayfinding

. Familiarity with

signage design standards

and

universal accessibility guidelines

. Exposure to

laser cutting, metal bending, and digital printing processes

.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
