Job Description

Design Engineer - Machined & Fabrication Parts (Defence & NPCIL Projects)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Design Engineer

to join our team, specializing in the design and detailing of

machined and fabricated components

for

Defence and NPCIL (Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited) projects

. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in

SolidWorks

,

2D/3D CAD modeling

, and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material selection, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop detailed

2D drawings and 3D models

of machined and fabricated parts using

SolidWorks

and other CAD tools. Prepare and review

design documentation

, including

BOMs

,

GD&T

,

tolerance analysis

, and

fabrication drawings

. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including

project managers

,

manufacturing

, and

quality assurance

to ensure design feasibility and compliance. Ensure designs meet

Defence and NPCIL standards

, codes, and specifications. Conduct

design reviews

,

DFMEA

, and support

prototype development

and

testing

. Optimize designs for

manufacturability

,

cost-effectiveness

, and

performance

. Maintain accurate records of design iterations, revisions, and approvals. Support

technical proposals

,

client presentations

, and

project documentation

.

Required Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in

Mechanical Engineering

or related field. 3-7 years of experience in

design engineering

for machined and fabricated components. Proficiency in

SolidWorks

,

AutoCAD

, and other CAD software. Experience in

Defence

and/or

NPCIL

project environments is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of

materials

,

manufacturing processes

, and

welding standards

. Familiarity with

ASME

,

IS

, and

NPCIL design codes

. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:



Experience with

PLM systems

,

ERP integration

, and

design automation tools

. Knowledge of

finite element analysis (FEA)

and

simulation tools

. Exposure to

quality standards

such as

ISO

,

NABL

, or

MIL-STD

. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ?1,500,000.00 per year
