Job Title:

Design Engineer - Sheet Metal

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies as per customer requirements. Prepare 2D & 3D drawings using

AutoCAD and SolidWorks

. Handle

New Product Development (NPD)

activities from concept to production. Create and maintain

Bill of Materials (BOM)

accurately. Perform

product costing

and support cost optimization initiatives. Coordinate with customers for technical discussions, design approvals, and clarifications. Conduct

feasibility studies

for new designs considering manufacturing capabilities. Provide design support to production, quality, and procurement teams. Ensure designs comply with process requirements such as

laser cutting, bending, welding, and fabrication

. Prepare and update engineering documents as per change management process.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Proficiency in

AutoCAD and SolidWorks

. Strong knowledge of

sheet metal design principles

. Experience in

laser cutting, bending, fabrication processes

. Ability to perform

feasibility analysis and process planning

. Knowledge of

programming concepts

related to manufacturing (preferred). Good working knowledge of

MS Excel

for data analysis and costing. Strong communication and customer coordination skills. Problem-solving and analytical mindset.

Qualification & Experience:

Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field. 1-5 years of experience in sheet metal design (experience level can be adjusted).
