Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design and development:

Create 2D and 3D designs for casting patterns, cores, and molds using software like SolidWorks or Siemens NX.

Simulation and analysis:

Use casting simulation software to analyze designs and predict potential issues like shrinkage, porosity, or incomplete filling before production.

Methoding:

Determine the most efficient method for creating a part, including selecting the right gating and riser system to ensure proper flow and solidification.

Technical documentation:

Develop detailed engineering drawings and bills of materials, incorporating details like tooling, machining, and tolerancing.

Collaboration:

Work with production, quality assurance, and other teams to resolve issues and improve the manufacturing process.

Problem-solving:

Apply creative and analytical skills to solve design and process challenges, and to ensure the final product meets quality standards.
