Job Description

Job Summary:

The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating and modifying 2D and 3D designs and models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. The ideal candidate will assist in product design, development, and documentation while ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to project timelines. This role is suitable for fresh engineering graduates or individuals with up to 2 years of experience in mechanical design.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using

AutoCAD

and

SolidWorks

. Work closely with the senior design team to develop mechanical components and assemblies. Assist in product design, prototyping, and detailing as per project specifications. Prepare bill of materials (BOM) and ensure drawing accuracy. Support design validation through simulation, tolerance analysis, and documentation. Collaborate with production, quality, and R&D teams for design implementation. Maintain organized project files and version control. Follow company design standards and ensure compliance with safety and quality norms.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering discipline.

Experience:

Fresher to 2 years in a design role using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in

AutoCAD

and

SolidWorks

(part, assembly, and drafting). Knowledge of

GD&T

, mechanical design principles, and material selection. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, fabrication, etc.).

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Good communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and willingness to learn new tools or technologies.
