, with the ability to take products from concept to mass production. The role involves end-to-end design ownership, including mechanical structures, electrical circuits, and performance validation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the
design and development of electro-mechanical products
such as horns, buzzers, or similar acoustic devices.
Create and manage
3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs
using CAD tools (SolidWorks / CATIA / Creo).
Design
mechanical housings, diaphragms, brackets, and assemblies
with focus on manufacturability, performance, and cost.
Develop and validate
electronic circuits
(DC coils, contact systems, and PCB layouts) as per design requirements.
Conduct
DFMEA, PFMEA
, and perform
tolerance stack-up analysis
and validation testing.
Collaborate cross-functionally with
Production, Quality, Tooling, and Supply Chain
for product industrialization.
Support
supplier development and prototyping
activities for critical components.
Perform
failure analysis
and implement design improvements on existing products.
Ensure compliance with
customer, industry, and regulatory standards
(SAE / ISO / AIS).
Maintain all
design documentation
, change control records, and DVP&R reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering.
4-7 years
of experience in
product design & development
, preferably in horns or electro-mechanical products.
Strong proficiency in
3D CAD tools
(SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo).
Working knowledge of
electrical design tools
(Altium, OrCAD, or equivalent).
Good understanding of
electro-mechanical systems, magnetic circuits, and acoustic performance
.
Experience with
DFMEA, DVP&R, and APQP
processes.
Familiarity with
automotive standards
and
testing protocols
for acoustic devices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Team-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience in the
automotive horn or sound-emitting device industry

Exposure to
vibration analysis, acoustic tuning, and durability testing
.
Experience in
value engineering
and
cost optimization
.
Understanding of
IATF 16949 / ISO 9001
