Job Description

Design Engineer (Electrical and Plumbing) will play a vital role in the design, planning and coordination of electrical and plumbing systems for residential, commercial and mixed-use buildings.

Responsibilities

-

Oversee the planning, design and installation of electrical and plumbing systems.

Manage multiple MEP (electrical and plumbing) projects; oversee the preparation of detailed construction drawings, schematics, and specifications.

Perform accurate load calculations; select appropriate equipment for E&P systems.

Prepare BOQ; cost estimates for MEP systems and contribute in project budgets.

Review and approve MEP submittals, shop drawings and material specifications and installation method statements from contractors or vendors.

Collaborate effectively with architects, structural engineers, HVAC designers and project managers to integrate MEP systems into overall design.

Conduct site inspections and coordination during construction to resolve technical issues and ensure design compliance; monitor health and safety practices at site.

Review MEP designs and drawings comply with relevant building codes, local regulations, safety and sustainability standards.

Provide technical support for bidding, procurement and construction phases.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of proven experience in MEP design for construction projects.

Strong understanding of MEP design principles, building codes and safety regulations.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design/simulation tools.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, energy-efficient building practices and sustainable practices in MEP engineering.

Excellent communication, coordination and project management skills.

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?45,000.00 per month
