Job Summary:

We are looking for a

Solid Edge Design Engineer

to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies using Solid Edge CAD software. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and R&D, to deliver high-quality, manufacturable designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings using

Solid Edge

. Develop new product designs and improve existing ones based on project requirements. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to meet technical and schedule requirements. Perform tolerance analysis and ensure designs meet required standards and functionality. Maintain design documentation and revision control per company standards. Assist with prototyping, testing, and validation of designs. Support manufacturing and suppliers with technical drawings and design clarifications. Ensure designs adhere to applicable industry and safety standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 6 years of experience in mechanical design using

Solid Edge

. Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Experience with GD&T, BOM creation, and product lifecycle management. Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and specifications. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Solid Edge Insight). Experience in [industry-specific knowledge, e.g., sheet metal, plastic injection molding, machinery]. Knowledge of FEA or other simulation tools is a plus. Experience working in ISO or ASME-regulated environments.
