Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Design Engineer with hands-on experience in SolidWorks and CAD tools, preferably from the stone crusher, jaw crusher, or heavy equipment industry. The role involves end-to-end mechanical design of crushing equipment, from concept to manufacturing support, ensuring high performance, durability, safety, and cost efficiency.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with manufacturing, production, quality, and service teams to deliver robust designs that meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize stone crushers, jaw crushers, and related mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks and other CAD software.
Create 3D models, detailed drawings, GA layouts, and manufacturing-ready documentation.
Perform design calculations, feasibility studies, and strength analysis to ensure structural integrity and performance.
Conduct design validation through simulations, trials, and feedback from production/service teams.
Support manufacturing processes by ensuring designs are cost-effective, easy to fabricate, assemble, and maintain.
Troubleshoot design-related issues and recommend design improvements and value engineering solutions.
Ensure designs comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and quality norms.
Generate and maintain BOMs, revision histories, and design documentation.
Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, wear parts, and advanced manufacturing techniques used in crushing equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD tools.
Proven experience in the stone crusher, jaw crusher, mining, aggregates, or heavy machinery industry.
Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, material selection, and structural analysis.
Hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, welding, heat treatment, and assembly.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience with FEA / simulation tools for stress and fatigue analysis.
Knowledge of other CAD platforms such as CATIA, Creo, or Autodesk Inventor.
Exposure to hydraulic systems, automation, or power transmission used in crushers.
Experience in product improvement, localization, or cost optimization projects.
