Overview:

Design Engineer- Solid Works
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the product design & development of Air Treatment product portfolio, including various types of Refrigerated air dryers for NPD, LCE and I2V(VAVE). Create the system 3D Modeling, Parts/ Sub system, optimize the layout of copper piping, Sheetmetal, heat exchanger with Refrigerated air dryers. Design the new/Improved Vessel assembly, sheet metal cabinets, piping layout and Optimize part level/system level to make it compact and understand the clear understanding of the ease of manufacturability. Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure engineering deliverables meet business objectives and own the maximum ownership of Projects. Candidate meets the First pass yield and on time delivery for assigned design work. Lead the design work with platform Startegy and make release plan with full ownership. Organize the BOM/ Option items/ part commonization strategy to make the best design solution. i2V (innovate to Value) projects.

Qualifications:

BTech or equivalent in mechanical engineering / MTech in Design
Essential skills:
4+ years of hands-on experience in product development for industrial Product with Small-to- medium size packages, Preferably Industrial refrigeration products using SolidWorks or later versions. 3+ years of hands-on experience in applying GD&T, Tolerance stake up, Weldment in drawings using international standards. 3+ years of experience in selection and integration of copper piping, Sheetmetal, flanges and other mechanical components. 3+ years of experience in creation and optimization of product BOM, Cost roll up, cost optimization, cost reduction etc.

Desired skills:
Proficient in managing the full product design and development lifecycle, including modifications throughout the product's lifespan. Strong understanding of design and manufacturing principles. Understand the PLM ECN process, Release plan, Implementation and follows best engineering practice. Capable of estimating product costs with accuracy. Understand the vapor compression system and components. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Effective in conflict resolution and applying critical thinking to solve engineering challenges. Proactive, self-motivating with ability to develop own priorities. Must be fluent in English and very good ability in presentation skills Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to travel both domestic and international as and when required, Flexible, adaptable, and eager to deliver timely results despite unanticipated challenges.

Experience:

4 to 7 years of Experience in product engineering in any reputed Industrial engineering company
