Roles & Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and complete machines as per functional and customer requirements. Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, GA drawings, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software. Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation. Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, and Assembly teams to ensure design manufacturability and cost optimization. Select appropriate materials, standard bought-out items, and manufacturing processes. Support prototype development, trial runs, and performance testing. Handle design modifications and improvements based on shop-floor feedback and customer inputs. Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, safety norms, and company guidelines. Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting if required.

Technical Skills Required

Proficiency in CAD software such as

SolidWorks / Creo / AutoCAD

. Strong knowledge of

mechanical design fundamentals, GD&T, fits & tolerances

. Experience in

machining, sheet metal, fabricated structures, and assemblies

. Understanding of manufacturing processes and cost-effective design practices.
Ability to read and interpret customer specifications and technical standards.

Preferred Skills

Experience in industrial equipment / machinery design. Exposure to ERP systems for BOM and drawing control. Basic knowledge of hydraulics / pneumatics is an added advantage.

Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Strong problem-solving attitude and attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?300,000.00 - ?450,000.00 per year
