Primary Responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities:

Reviews literature and examines available research to generate and relay ideas that can enhance the product features Executes (lesser) complex projects / assemblies related with the new product development process and remains actively involved across different stages of the product development (from design to overseeing fabrication at the shopfloor to testing and validation stage) Prepares design layout of prototype based on the broad outline shared by the level above within a given timeframe To prepare, release and control Master BOM of the machine. Delivers designs of different parts of a product within specified performance, cost, and timelines set by the level above Coordinates trials and tests with various cross functional teams and generates thorough and timely reports to share with seniors Maintains record of all trials and tests and shares with the level above on a regular basis to aid product development Operates as the point of contact for any queries related with specific area of expertise (e.g. related with polymer or lab functionalities) Supports seniors in addressing technical queries of customers through data collation and analysis May occasionally respond to routine customer queries and accompany seniors on customer visits

Advanced understanding of:

Techniques and processes associated with own area of expertise Different design tools and techniques (e.g. CAD, CAE, solid edge, etc.)

Basic understanding of guidelines pertaining to the Pharma industry as applicable to his own area of expertise

Basic level of expertise in the area of project management

Is able to work on new product development projects basis available precedence in the market

Scope of Decision Making:

Operates within general work instructions and supervision of the end outcomes/results, typically focusing on projects within own area of expertise

Takes decisions on relatively routine activities associated with the product development process, and escalates any deviations/hurdles with initial RCA done.

Makes recommendations on matters in his/her specific area of expertise

Translate routine/standard designs into production documents for a specific product part/specification

B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
4-5 years experience
Industry: Pharma machine manufacturing, packaging, etc
