Job Description

Design Engineer - SCADA is responsible for preparation of SCADA system designs
and engineering deliverables in line with project requirements, applicable
standards, and submitting the same for technical review and approval.
SCADA Design Development:
? Prepare SCADA system architecture and engineering designs including
system block diagrams, Network topology diagrams and Hardware
architecture layouts
? Develop SCADA designs based on Project requirements, applicable
standards and codes
? Size and configure system components under defined design criteria
Communication & Integration:
? Familiar with integration of SCADA with PLC/RTU, BMS, EMS, PPC.
? Prepare protocol mapping as per IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5, Modbus
TCP/IP/
? Define data points, polling intervals and performance requirements.
? Develop cybersecurity design inputs including Network segmentation
diagrams, User access control philosophy, backup and redundancy as
per project requirement.
? Review of SCADA cybersecurity architecture including, Network
segregation and firewalls, User access control and role-based
permissions
Collaboration and Support:
? Submit design deliverables for review and incorporate review comments
and revisions in timely manner
? Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team
members to resolve design issues and implement solutions.
? Provide technical information and ideas to support the engineering
team
Documentation and Record Keeping:
? Maintain accurate records of design changes and follow document
control procedures.
? Ensure compliance with internal QA/QC procedures
? Maintain Engineering records and calculation notes.
Quality Assurance:
? Check technical drafts for accuracy in calculations, measurements, and
units.
? Perform quality checks on drawings for function, fit, and submission
Job Location: Office-based in India (with flexibility across major metro cities/Project hubs)
Requirements
Strong understanding of SCADA system engineering and architectures.
? Understanding of Grid Code and utility requirements
? Strong attention to detail and design accuracy.
? Ability to work under guidance and review cycles.
? Good coordination and internal communication skills.
? Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineering teams and
stakeholders
Qualification: Masters or Bachelor's in Electrical/Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering
Experience (Minimum): Minimum 3 years of experience in SCADA
Software Knowledge: AutoCAD, ETAP, PLS CAD, PSE, MS Office
Certifications in SCADA or Industrial Cybersecurity preferred
