Role Summary

The Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts, and designs using AutoCAD. The role involves coordinating with sales, production, and project teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts, and schematics using

AutoCAD

Develop GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings Modify and update drawings based on project requirements and feedback Coordinate with sales, project, and production teams for design inputs Ensure designs comply with relevant

engineering standards and safety norms

Maintain proper documentation and drawing records Support site teams with technical clarifications when required Assist in BOQ preparation and material estimation (if applicable)

Required Skills & Competencies

Proficient in

AutoCAD (2D drafting mandatory)

Basic understanding of engineering drawings and symbols Knowledge of industrial equipment / electrical layouts / mechanical systems (as applicable) Good attention to detail and accuracy Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks Basic MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word)

Preferred Skills (Optional)

Knowledge of

3D tools

(SolidWorks / Inventor / Revit - added advantage) Experience in Industrial Equipment, EPC, Manufacturing, or Services projects Familiarity with customer and tender drawings

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Accuracy and quality of drawings Timely submission of designs Number of revisions due to errors Coordination efficiency with cross-functional teams
