Position Title: PLM Engineer


Reports to: Director-Product Development

POSITION SUMMARY

HARTING Company Introduction- High-performance connection technology forms the basis of industrial application and product technology. The candidate for this position needs to have proven capabilities for Development of processing in new and relocation connectors, cable assembly and harness. Maintain and improve serial connectors. This position is based in Chennai, Tamilnadu. India. QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Required:

BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute

Good command of English (written and spoken)

Work Experience

Required:

At least 5-7 years experience in PLM & 3D & 2D modeling in NX.

Preferred:

Expert knowledge in PLM with tool experience, Siemens NX.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

General

Hands on working knowledge of Siemens NX 3D CAD software & Team Centre Hands on experience in handling Product Lifecycle Management. Must have working knowledge on Change Request. Must have experience in working with Global teams and communicating with them technically. Good knowledge on GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, dimensions, and structural analysis Impeccable attention to design detail. Having experience in connector design will be added advantage. He/she shall have the strong basics of mechanical engineering with knowledge on hand calculations, knowledge on IP sealing design. Knowledge on the Engineering Change Notification process for design changes. Closely work with Global Design team in supporting for executing Change requests and any Support on 3D & 2D modeling in NX. Ensure design of components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards Knowledge in defining and meeting the KPI's and submit results to the management. Attend Daily meetings and deliver the assignments given by the Managers as required. Attend weekly team meetings to provide progress reports, obtain updates on colleagues' progress, strategize on steps for following week and acquire information about projected emerging product lines.
