Komal Healthcare is looking for Design Engineer - Implant Orthopedic for Bhayandar East, Mumbai Location.

Job Location - Bhayandar East, Mumbai

Job Responsibility:

Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of orthopedic implants, instruments, and components using CAD software like SolidWorks or NX. Design patient-specific implants based on CT scan data using Mimics software. Revise and update existing designs for improved performance and manufacturability. Generate and maintain design documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), design history files, and technical specifications. Support regulatory teams with technical documentation for submissions (e.g., ISO 13485). Ensure designs comply with company standards and regulatory requirements Perform tolerance analysis, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA) checks. Conduct mechanical calculations and material selection. Support and participate in prototyping, testing, and validation activities. Work closely with R&D, production, and quality teams to transition designs from concept to manufacturing. Collaborate with surgeons, manufacturing teams, and suppliers on technical issues and design reviews. Support the production team to ensure final product quality and assembly requirements are met. Stay informed about advancements in CAD, materials, and orthopedic technologies. Assist in identifying new systems and processes to improve quality and efficiency.
Skills Required:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical or Biomedical) or a related field. Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, Creo). Familiarity with orthopedic implants and surgical instruments. Knowledge of medical device regulations (e.g., ISO 13485). Understanding of DFM and DFA principles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
