About Us

Impression Furniture Industries is a leading furniture manufacturing company committed to producing high-quality, innovative, and sustainable furniture for commercial clients. We are looking for a creative and motivated Junior Designer to join our product development team and contribute to our exciting growth.

The Junior Designer will be responsible for translating conceptual ideas into detailed, production-ready technical drawings and 3D models. This role requires a strong foundational understanding of furniture construction and a meticulous approach to design documentation, primarily using AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Modeling (Primary):

Create accurate and detailed

2D technical drawings

(elevations, sections, and plan views) using AutoCAD for manufacturing specifications, including Bill of Materials (BOM) integration. Develop

3D models

of pieces and components using AutoCAD 3D to visualize designs and check for structural integrity and manufacturability. Prepare dimensioned drawings and assembly instructions for the production floor.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the Senior Designers, Production Team, and Engineers to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and adhere to quality standards. Incorporate feedback from prototyping and testing phases into design revisions.

Material & Trend Research:

Assist in researching new materials, finishes, and current furniture design trends. Maintain and organize the design library of components and standard details.
Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

Experience:

0-3 years of professional experience in furniture design, product design, or a related field.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a relevant technical discipline.

Software Proficiency:

Demonstrated high proficiency

and hands-on experience with

AutoCAD (2D and 3D)

.
Required Competencies

Attention to Detail:

Ability to create precise and error-free technical drawings critical for manufacturing.

Problem-Solving:

Proactive in identifying and resolving design and construction challenges.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate design intent to non-designers

Time Management:

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
