The Design Engineer is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, plans, and visual designs using AutoCAD and CorelDraw software. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet engineering specifications, aesthetic requirements, and industry standards, from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Drafting
: Develop precise 2D and 3D technical drawings and models using
AutoCAD
for manufacturing, construction, or architectural projects.
Visual & Graphic Design
: Create layouts, product visuals, marketing materials, or detailed schematics using
CorelDraw
, ensuring brand consistency and clear communication of ideas.
Collaboration
: Work closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and production teams to gather requirements, integrate design elements, and ensure design feasibility.
Documentation & Compliance
: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), design specifications, and technical reports. Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Revision & Quality Control
: Review and modify existing designs based on feedback, testing results, or evolving project requirements, ensuring accuracy and precision in all final deliverables.
Troubleshooting
: Assist in identifying and resolving design-related issues that may arise during the design or production phases.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
: A bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical), Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field is typically required.
Software Proficiency
:
Expertise in
AutoCAD
for 2D/3D modeling and technical drafting.
Proficiency in
CorelDraw
(and potentially other design tools like Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop) for graphic and visual design tasks.
Technical Knowledge
