About the Role

RiFab Structures Private Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Design Engineer

to support the planning, design, and execution of prefabricated and modular products. The candidate will be responsible for developing structural designs, detailed drawings of assemblies and parts, and coordinating with production, site, and project teams to ensure safe, cost-effective, and timely delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

Design and develop prefabricated and modular structures Create fabrication, assembly and part drawings for various products and structures Use design and drafting software to create accurate 2D/3D models Coordinate with manufacturing, fabrication, and erection teams to ensure design feasibility Review client specifications and requirements Work on manufacturing and bought out components Ensure designs is compliant to safety standards, quality norms, and regulations Provide technical support during project execution and site installation Optimize designs for cost, material efficiency, and constructability Collaborate with architects, consultants, and project managers Identify detailed bill of material for bought out and manufactured parts for variety of PODs. Prepare and review part drawings and models for manufactured parts as well as standard parts with dimensional - geometry modifications (e.g. custom dimension & cutouts in wall panels, ACP facade, etc). Prepare and review 3D sub-assembly (e.g. wall) and overall assembly (e.g. complete pod) drawings using the part models Assist in design modifications based on site conditions or client requirements

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering 2-4 years of experience in prefabricated structures, PEB, or modular construction Strong knowledge of steel structures and material is preferred Proficiency in: AutoCAD, MS Excel & basic design tools Sound understanding of structural standards Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings Good analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and coordination skills
