Job Description

1. Design & Engineering

Lead the design and development of process equipment used in edible oil refining and related industries. Prepare and review engineering calculations, equipment sizing, fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and technical documentation. Ensure designs comply with all relevant design codes (e.g., ASME, TEMA, API, PED, IS codes). Approve and release final drawings and documents to the production/manufacturing team. Troubleshoot design-related issues during fabrication or installation.

2. Drawing Review & Quality Assurance

Review and validate all engineering drawings prepared by the design team. Ensure high-quality, error-free designs with proper material selection, welding details, thickness calculations, and safety considerations. Conduct design quality checks and ensure adherence to internal and external standards.

3. Team Leadership & Coordination

Lead and mentor a team of design engineers and draftsmen. Distribute work, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs. Coordinate closely with factory, procurement, and project execution teams to address technical queries.

4. Production & Factory Support

Provide technical guidance to the manufacturing team during equipment fabrication. Resolve design/fabrication issues and ensure smooth execution on the shop floor. Assist in factory inspections, quality control checks, and testing of equipment.

5. Software & Standards

Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with other design tools (SolidWorks, PV Elite, ANSYS) is a plus. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry codes and standards.

6. Project & Client Interaction

Review client specifications and ensure design alignment with project requirements. Participate in design discussions, technical meetings, and customer reviews.
