1. Role Summary

The Design Engineer will support the design and development of tools, components, and assemblies used in manufacturing. The role involves preparing drawings, updating designs, assisting in product improvements, and coordinating with production for manufacturability.

2. Key Responsibilities: Design & Drafting

Prepare 2D & 3D drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Creo). Create detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications. Update and modify existing designs as per production or customer requirements.

Product / Process Support

Assist in the development of fixtures, jigs, and tooling. Coordinate with production to resolve design and manufacturing issues. Support prototype development and trial runs.

Quality & Standards

Ensure all drawings follow GD&T and engineering standards. Perform basic tolerance checks and design validations.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain proper design documentation, revisions, and file control. Prepare design reports and participate in review meetings.

3. Skills & Competencies

Strong CAD knowledge (AutoCAD is mandatory; SolidWorks/Creo added advantage). Basic understanding of machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of GD&T and interpretation of engineering drawings. Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

4. Qualification & Experience

Qualification:

ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

3-5 years in CAD/design/drafting (manufacturing/tooling preferred). Freshers with strong CAD skills may also be considered.

5. Personal Attributes

Detail-oriented and technically sound. Quick learner with a positive attitude. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under deadlines.

Pay: ?22,000.00 - ?28,000.00 per month
