Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Create

3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings

using

PTC Creo

. Perform

design calculations

for mechanical components and mechanisms. Design

Special Purpose Machines (SPM)

including concept design, mechanism design, and 3D modeling. Prepare

fabrication drawings

and

assembly drawings

with accurate dimensions, GD&T, and part details. Develop structures, frames, brackets, and fabricated components suitable for welding and sheet-metal processes. Ensure designs are practical for

manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly

. Coordinate with

fabrication and assembly teams

to resolve design issues during manufacturing. Assist in

machine assembly

, integration, and testing during prototype or production build. Optimize designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability. Create and maintain BOM, design documentation, and revision records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Hands-on expertise in

PTC Creo

(Part, Assembly, Drafting, Sheet Metal). Strong understanding of

fabrication and assembly processes

: Welding & structural fabrication Sheet metal bending & cutting Mechanical assembly & alignment Knowledge of

SPM design

, mechanical mechanisms, and automation concepts. Ability to perform

mechanical design calculations

(frame load, shaft, bearing, gear, motor/actuator selection). Knowledge of materials (MS, SS, aluminum) and engineering tolerances. Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance stack-up.

Preferred Skills:

Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics & automation components. Experience coordinating with vendors, fabricators & assembly teams. ERP/BOM creation experience.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical ability. Good communication and inter-department coordination skills. Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
