We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Design Engineer
to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical and thermal design of heat exchangers, ensuring optimal performance, manufacturability, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. This position requires a solid understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and mechanical design principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop customized and standard heat exchanger solutions (e.g., shell-and-tube, plate, air-cooled, etc.)
Perform thermal and mechanical calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., HTRI, Aspen EDR, PV Elite, Compress)
Generate detailed engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor)
Ensure designs meet ASME, TEMA, API, PED, or other applicable codes and client specifications
Collaborate with sales, production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-efficiency
Prepare technical documentation including design reports, datasheets, and calculation files
Support fabrication and testing teams during the manufacturing and commissioning phases
Participate in design reviews and support customer meetings as needed
Should have experience in designing equipments as per U Stamp Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred)
2-5 years of experience in the design of heat exchangers or pressure vessels
Proficient in thermal and mechanical design tools (HTRI, Aspen EDR, PV Elite, etc.)
Strong skills in CAD software and technical drawing
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASME Sec VIII, TEMA, API, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
