JOB SUMMARY

Designs, develops and validates the concepts for Pumps and Plate heat exchangers. Collaborate with internal experts, product specialists and designers to optimize designs for ease of assembly and manufacturability. Utilizes CAD (Computer Aided Design) systems and CAD Automations tools to create new designs and detailed engineering drawings. Provides technical support to Sourcing and suppliers for development of parts for NPD, Sustain and VA/VE initiatives. Supports Enquiries, quotations and sales orders. Ensures accuracy of models, drawings and other required documents based on the requirement of the project. Introduces CAD automation initiatives for different product lines to optimize design and drawing standards.



PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Design components utilizing advanced modeling tools and engineering principles and CAD automation wherever possible. Provide engineering support for NPD, Sustain, VA/VE, legacy products & cost reduction efforts. Demonstrate strong collaboration skills and the ability to think creatively to create solutions, drive execution and focus on results. Create / Review 3D part & assembly models, 2D manufacturing drawings, engineering BOM, Support sales & marketing literature, technical documentation like Operating manuals, brochures, data sheets, catalogs etc. Manage the documentation and execution of engineering changes. Participate in design reviews and document open issues. Provide automation support for manual task with customized executables. Creation of 3D models, drawings, and assemblies with automation architecture. Track progress, maintain data for KPI, KQI Perform towards achieving the quality metrics. Document records for all project proposals and associated activities. Perform other product development related duties as requested, directed or assigned. Develops and maintains drafting standards, checklist, and testing procedure for cad automation. Discusses with site engineers to seek information, clarification, and feedback.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

Experience with design and cad automation of industrial equipment (Actuators, pumps, motors, filters, valves, coupling, Heat Exchangers etc.) preferred.


Minimum of BE degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 2 years of experience in relevant area. Experience in 3D modelling, assembly, drawings, analysis, and customization using CAD, Preferably Autodesk inventor, Autodesk Vault, SolidWorks. Willingness to learn new processes and applications. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, leadership skills and positive energy. Knowledge of pumps, rotary equipment or Plate heat exchangers will be an added advantage. * Inventor API and I-Logic programming skills will be added advantage.
