Job Description

Responsible for proposal preparation and management, timely engineering approvals through engineering team for orders booked, taking part in R&D design and improvising design methods. Job Responsibilities / Accountability (major end results the job is expected to achieve):

Proposal Design and Management :

Decipher enquiries received/allotted and read all technical data in detail.

Discuss project enquiries with Sales Manager.

Make note of all technical requirements and highlight key points.

In case of any missing information, contact client and seek clarifications.

Carryout design as per enquiry and design standards.

Verify design and get it cross checked by Senior Design Engineer or Asst. Sales Manager.

Discuss designed enquiries with Proposal Engineer/ Estimation Manager and explainentire scope and requirement to him.

Fix date for completion of their design according to workload and deadlines.

Solve technical queries of clients after sending offers and help prepare revised offer.

Attend technical meetings if required.

Post Order Design:

Read total technical specifications in purchase order.

Highlight key technical points in purchase order.

In case of any technical discrepancies between agreed points and order received,highlight to respective Sales representative immediately and seek clarification/ orderamendment.

Set date for detailed design preparation.

Prepare detailed design calculations.

Provide input to drawing department to prepare fabrication drawing.

Submit detailed design calculations to client.

Review comments on design by client and revise accordingly.

If comments by client indicate inclusion of items / modifications not as per scope,highlight to sales representative and inform client about commercial implication.

Expedite approval of design calculations from client as per project team's requirement.

Maintain approved calculations record.

Inform Project Planning dept of clearances for manufacturing that are received based onpart approvals from client.

Inform Project dept on freezing of all design points.

Review QAP prepared by Inspection engineer in accordance with design standard.

Solve any concerns of Production department raised during manufacturing.

Research and Development:

Keep up to date with all new design standards, codes and technological advances. Take part in development of new products in the organization. Develop ways to make design more cost effective. Develop ways to make design more manufacturing friendly.
Job Specification: Qualifications (Basic, Professional & any other desired qualification):

- Graduates in Engineering (Mechanical) Work Experience (No. of years, Industry & Areas in which person would had worked):

- Preferred 3-4 years of experience in relevant area of work Functional Skills:

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹550,000.00 per year
