We are looking for a highly experienced and innovative professional to lead our
Design & NPD team
for motor manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
mechanical engineering
, in-depth knowledge of
motor design principles
, and a proven track record of developing and launching new products successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the
Design & NPD team
in developing new motor products and improving existing designs.
Drive
end-to-end design
and development cycle -- from concept, prototyping, validation, to final release.
Prepare and review 2D/3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and BOMs using tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
Ensure design compliance with
industry standards
and
customer specifications
.
Work closely with
production, quality, purchase, and sales
teams to ensure smooth product realization.
Conduct
DFMEA
, design reviews, and implement
value engineering
and cost optimization strategies.
Develop and maintain
design validation plans
and support in testing and performance benchmarking.
Manage interactions with
suppliers, vendors
, and customers for technical clarification and co-development.
Monitor
market trends and competitor analysis
to identify innovation opportunities.
Ensure documentation and adherence to APQP/NPD processes, stage-gate reviews, and ISO/IATF requirements.
Build and mentor a high-performing team of design engineers and technicians.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech
in Mechanical Engineering (preferably with a focus on electrical machines, thermal/fluid dynamics, or product design).
Minimum 8-
10 years of experience
in a mechanical design/NPD role.
Strong understanding of
electromechanical systems, stator/rotor design
, thermal management, and mechanical packaging.
Proficiency in design software:
SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Ansys, or equivalent
.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes:
die casting, stamping, machining, Toolings,
etc.
Knowledge of
motor testing, validation, and failure analysis
.
Good understanding of
project management tools and techniques
.
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Exposure to
quality tools
like DFMEA, DFM/DFA, Six Sigma, and APQP preferred.

Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?100,000.00 per month
