JOB SUMMARY

===============

Designs, validates, and brings new products to market. Specifies precise new product functional requirements; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Designs, develops, executes and evaluates fitness-for-use testing, product specifications and process validation plans; creates and reviews material part specifications and bills of materials. Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability. Utilizes CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and develop new products utilizing advanced modeling tools and engineering principles.

Provide engineering support for legacy products, legacy designs and cost reduction efforts.

Demonstrate strong collaboration skills and the ability to think creatively to create solutions, drive execution and focus on results.

Manage the documentation and execution of engineering changes.

==================================================================

Participate in design reviews and document open issues.

Interface with Product Managers, Applications Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Purchasing, and other functions during all phases of product development.

Apply engineering analysis to make data-driven design decisions.

Analyze new components, materials and technologies to evaluate functionalities for all new product development.

Prepare comprehensive project plans with technical objectives and detailed cost estimates.

Comply with Design Control and Stage Gate processes while designing prototypes and products.

Track progress of assigned projects to report to major stakeholders.

Document records for all project proposal and associated activities.

Perform other product development related duties as requested, directed or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

==================================

Minimum of BE degree in Mechanical Engineering and 4 years of product design experience.

============================================================================================

Strong oral and written communication skills.

=================================================

Should have core experiance in -CAD software- Inventor

.

Willing to work on Technical Documention.

=============================================

Strong interpersonal skills, proven leadership skills and a positive energy.

Expert knowledge of computer aided design (CAD

Inventor)

Expert understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing as it relates to individual parts and overall assemblies (ANSI Y14.5).

Well versed in wide variety of production processes including (but not limited to) machining, casting, welding, Polishing.

Experience in any of the mechanical design of industrial equipment's and parts. Especially - Pumps, Valves, Heat exchangers, compressors, Boilers.

Valve design or manufacturing experience for food and beverage industry a plus but not mandatory.

Project Planning and Execution: Maintain focus on priorities. Maintain flexibility as priorities change. Be aware of short timelines from start to finish of project.
