Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented

Assistant Manager - Design & Engineering

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise 2D and 3D technical drawings, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining documentation, and supporting the execution of engineering projects.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:1. Drawing & Drafting:

Prepare accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings based on engineering inputs and client specifications. Develop fabrication and assembly drawings for mechanical/electrical parts and systems. Revise drawings as per engineering feedback or client modifications. Ensure all drawings adhere to project and safety standards.

2. Design Documentation:

Maintain proper drawing registers and version control for all documents. Prepare and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs), technical datasheets, and layout drawings. Ensure compliance with organizational and industry drafting standards.

3. Software & Tools Usage:

Use CAD software such as AutoCAD (2D/3D) and SolidWorks or similar for creating technical drawings. Maintain and back up all drawing files in electronic formats.

4. Coordination & Review:

Liaise with engineers, architects, project managers, and production teams for drawing clarifications. Actively participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback promptly.

5. Material & Vendor Support:

Assist the procurement team by providing technical inputs from drawings. Review and validate vendor drawings for adherence to specifications.

6. Site & Production Support:

Conduct site visits or production floor checks as needed for dimensional verification or layout confirmation. Support fabrication and installation teams with necessary technical clarifications.

Skills & Competencies:

Proficient in reading and creating electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics (busducts, panels, ventilation, earthing/grounding, LA, HT/LT equipment, cabling, cable trays). Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD (2D & 3D); knowledge of SolidWorks or similar is a plus. Understanding of electrical/mechanical drafting standards and symbols. Must have experience in site measurement and verification. Excellent attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and version control.

Pay: ?300,000.00 - ?480,000.00 per year
