DESIGN ENGINEER

Education - Diploma

BE Mechanical / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience - 2- 4 years

(preferably in the automobile industry, suspension manufacturing, or related domains)

Software Skills:

Proficiency in

SolidWorks, AutoCAD

& Responsibility :

Product & Tooling Design:

Design and develop suspension components (springs, shock absorbers, control arms, bushings, etc.) using SolidWorks/AutoCAD. Develop assembly tooling and press tooling for manufacturing suspension parts. Modify and optimize existing designs for improved performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

Technical Documentation & Drawings:

Prepare 3D models, 2D technical drawings, and assembly layouts. Create Bill of Materials (BOM), GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and process flow diagrams. Ensure proper revision control and documentation as per company standards.

Tooling & Manufacturing Support:

Design and validate press tools, jigs, fixtures, and assembly tools required for suspension component manufacturing. Coordinate with the manufacturing team to ensure proper implementation and troubleshooting of designed tools.

Collaboration & Support:

Work closely with production, quality, and R&D teams to enhance product and tooling efficiency. Assist in prototype development, testing, and validation. Support supplier and customer interactions for design and tooling-related queries.
