We are looking for a skilled

Mechanical Design Engineer

with a strong background in

transformer design

or related fabrication-intensive industries. The ideal candidate should be experienced in mechanical drafting, proficient in AutoCAD, and capable of independently handling mechanical aspects of transformer design and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and create

engineering drawings

for transformer components and assemblies. Design mechanical parts and enclosures for

power and distribution transformers

. Prepare accurate and detailed

manufacturing drawings

and

Bill of Materials (BOM)

. Perform

sheet metal design

, layout planning, and

material nesting

for optimized fabrication. Work closely with the electrical design team to ensure mechanical compatibility and integration. Utilize

AutoCAD

and

SolidWorks

(or equivalent) for 2D drafting and 3D modeling. Ensure all designs comply with

industry standards

, client specifications, and internal guidelines. Participate in

design reviews

, identify improvement areas, and support continuous product development. Coordinate with vendors and the production team for smooth execution and fabrication support.

Requirements:

Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (

Diploma preferred

). Minimum 2

years

of relevant experience, preferably in

transformer design

,

fabrication

, or

heavy engineering

industries. Proficient in

AutoCAD

with hands-on drafting experience. Familiarity with

SolidWorks

or other 3D modeling software. Experience with

nesting tools

for sheet metal layout optimization. Strong understanding of

mechanical design principles

, materials, tolerancing, and fabrication processes. Good

mathematical

and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines. Knowledge of

standards related to transformer manufacturing

is a plus.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
