Design Engineer

Education:

BE in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for road construction equipment, with a focus on compactors. Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and BOM's. Manage design data and workflows using PLM. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability. Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA. Support prototype development and field issues. Continuously improve existing designs for performance, cost, and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically in

Road construction machinery

. Experience with

Compactor design

is a strong advantage. Proficiency in

CREO

for 3D modeling and drafting. Working knowledge of

Windchill

for data management and version control. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and GD&T. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
