The Piping Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and reviewing piping layouts, isometric drawings, and associated documentation for water and wastewater treatment projects. The role involves coordinating with process, civil, and mechanical teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective piping designs that comply with industry standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review

piping layouts, general arrangements (GA), and isometric drawings

using AutoCAD or other design software. Design

pipe routing, supports, and material specifications

for water treatment plants (WTP), wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), and RO systems. Coordinate with

process, mechanical, civil, and electrical teams

to ensure design integration across disciplines. Prepare

Bill of Materials (BOM)

, piping MTOs, and technical data sheets for procurement. Ensure compliance with

ASME, ASTM, IS codes

, and company design standards. Review vendor drawings and provide technical feedback. Conduct

site visits

for design verification and as-built documentation. Support the project team during installation, testing, and commissioning phases. Identify potential design risks and propose practical solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in

Mechanical Engineering

or related discipline.

2-6 years

of experience in

piping design

for

water and wastewater treatment

projects. Proficiency in

AutoCAD, Plant 3D, PDMS, or SolidWorks

. Strong understanding of

piping materials, fittings, valves, and fluid dynamics

. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (IS, ASME B31.3, etc.). Experience in preparing and reviewing

piping stress analysis reports

(optional but preferred). Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in

3D modeling of piping systems

. Familiarity with

hydraulic design principles

in water/wastewater systems. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Team-oriented approach with attention to detail and quality.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
