Job Description

Work closely with CAD Design Engineers and Product Specialists to understand project requirements, objectives, and design concepts.

Collaborate on the mechanical design of various product components using PLM Tool.

Create detailed mechanical designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. This may include 3D modeling, assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOM) generation.

Participate in the development of prototypes to test and validate design concepts. This may involve hands-on work in a lab or workshop.

Choose appropriate materials for each component based on factors such as strength, durability, cost, and environmental considerations.

Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure designs meet performance and safety criteria.

Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure that designed components can be manufactured efficiently and cost-effectively.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all designs, including drawings, specifications, and design change records.

Address and resolve design-related issues or challenges, and provide technical support to cross-functional teams.

Collaborate with the team to meet budgetary constraints and cost reduction goals without compromising product quality.

Assist in project planning, monitoring progress, and meeting project timelines and milestones.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PLM software like Team center or similar tools.

Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Exposure to design of machines used for crushing, screening, washing, material handling for coal, Limestone, Iron ore, Aggregates, Mineral sands or any other mining operations.

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to the product domain.

Project management skills and the ability to work effectively within project constraints.
