Job Description

Qualification:

Diploma / B.Tech / BE - Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and design sheet metal components, assemblies, and enclosures as per project requirements.

Prepare detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and production files using

SolidWorks

and

AutoCAD

.

Work on sheet metal part modelling, flat patterns, tolerances, and manufacturability requirements.

Coordinate with production teams to ensure manufacturability and resolve any design-related issues.

Understand and apply machining processes such as

Laser Cutting, Turret Punching, Press Brake Bending

, welding, and fabrication processes.

Optimize design for manufacturing (DFM), cost reduction, and assembly efficiency.

Collaborate with quality, purchase, and fabrication departments for sample development and design approvals.

Create assembly drawings, exploded views

Review and improve existing designs based on production feedback or quality issues.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.

Handle design change requests (ECR/ECN) and maintain documentation.

Technical Skills Required:

Expertise in

SolidWorks

Proficient in

AutoCAD

for 2D drafting.

Strong knowledge of sheet metal design principles, GD&T, tolerances, and finishing processes.

Hands-on understanding of fabrication methods:

o Laser cutting

o Turret punching

o Press bending

o Welding & fabrication

o Mechanical assembly

o Powder coating & surface treatment

Familiarity with machining standards and BOM creation.

Knowledge of DFM, DFA, and engineering change management.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Attention to detail with a quality-first mindset.

Additional Requirements (Optional):

Experience in enclosure design, metal cabinets, or industrial products.

Exposure to prototyping and testing processes.

Understanding of ERP & SAP systems for design and production integration.

Pay: ?400,000.00 - ?750,000.00 per year
