Job Description

:

? Create, edit, and interpret engineering design drawings, specifications, and scope

documents.

? Understanding of Automotive electricals, electrical components, power & signal

distribution system

? Should have work experience in Vehicle integration support activity

? Should understand various vehicle electrical components and their functionality

(Alternator, starter, battery, fuse box, wire connector, terminal, relay, fuses, etc.)

? Detailed knowledge of 2D wiring harness & 2D schematics

? 3D routing using Creo Cabling, schematic and harness partition strategy

? Understanding of connector selection criteria and should be familiar with various connector

types, applications, wire packing & bundling

? Should have experience of working independently on design routing proposals in 3D &

creating installation drawing

? Should have experience in Schematic and harness synchronization and DRC

? Should generate alternate concept for integration of electrical /electronic components

after studying the product profile requirements including component packaging.

? Should have knowledge about manufacturing process of wire harness parts

? Awareness of VA/VE techniques, cost reduction, optimization & feasibility verification

? Prepares project documentation and participates in design review at various design phases

? Co-ordinate with global R&D team for the projects & work independently.

? Ensure execution of tasks in strict compliance with operating procedures and deliver defect

free output on time.

? Work on PDM/PLM systems associated with Engineering release processes & systems and

Proficient in Creo-Cabling & Wiring Harnesses

? Performingchecking and approving design calculations as required

? Performingchecking BOM changes and ECNs

? Self-checking and presenting the work for internal and external reviews

? Value addition and suggestions for improvements as applicable

? Addressing the customer queries and handling customer feedback

? Performing internal reviews and External reviews if needed.

? Onsite support during proto build and testing if needed.

? Reporting to the ManagerProject Leader in a timely and efficient manner

? Complying to company policies and follow company values and business code of practice

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 4-8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering

Tools:

Creo/Creo-Cabling Teamcenter AutoCAD Electrical

Education:

Masters or Bachelors in Mechanical/Electrical and Electronics from a reputed institute

Knowledge Requirement:

? Requires excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and organization skills

? Must be a decision maker who can work under minimum supervision

? Must be a team player - open-minded and flexible

? Ability to generate creative solutions to problems and work in a fast-paced

environment which requires multi-tasking capability
