Position: Design Engineer Intern

Position Overview

We are looking for a Design Engineer Intern to support our engineering and product development team. This internship provides hands-on experience in mechanical design, prototyping, and vendor coordination. The role is ideal for students or recent graduates who are passionate about design engineering and eager to learn tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in creating 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Support the design and development of mechanical components, sheet metal parts, and assemblies. Participate in prototype development -- including drawing preparation, fabrication follow-up, and basic testing. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for prototype fabrication and part collection. Help in updating design documentation, BOMs, and revision records. Assist the engineering team in day-to-day design and production support activities. Contribute ideas during design discussions and review meetings.
Qualifications & Skills

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree (Pursuing or Completed) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Basic knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD (training or coursework experience acceptable). Understanding of mechanical drawings and design fundamentals. Enthusiasm to learn design processes, fabrication, and manufacturing workflows. Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team.
Preferred Skills

Familiarity with GD&T and engineering standards. Exposure to sheet metal, fabrication, or assembly processes. Knowledge of SolidWorks Simulation or FEA.
