Reports to: Chief Technology Officer

Primary Objective:

Heblox Private Limited is seeking an experienced and innovative Design Engineer with strong expertise in solar energy products and Battery Pack. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end mechanical design, simulation, analysis, and optimization of solar and energy storage products such as battery packs, BMS-integrated enclosures, inverters, and associated systems.

The role requires hands-on experience in

advanced design tools, battery safety standards, thermal and structural analysis

, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective products for the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for solar and energy storage products, including: Battery enclosures and battery pack structures BMS-integrated battery housings Inverters and power electronics enclosures Solar mounting systems and related mechanical products Develop robust designs considering

thermal management, vibration, shock, and environmental conditions

.

Battery Management System (BMS) Integration

Work closely with electrical and R&D teams on

BMS integration

within battery packs. Design battery enclosures considering: Cell arrangement and spacing Heat dissipation and airflow Protection against thermal runaway Safety venting and insulation Support

BMS-related analysis

, including thermal behaviour, safety compliance, and lifecycle performance.

Design Tools & Modelling

Create accurate

2D and 3D models

using: SolidWorks 3D Fusion AutoCAD (2D & 3D) Prepare manufacturing-ready drawings and assemblies.

Simulation & Engineering Analysis

Perform engineering simulations and calculations, including: Structural analysis Thermal analysis (especially for batteries and BMS) Stress, load, and vibration analysis Product durability and lifecycle analysis Validate designs through simulations, calculations, and prototype testing.

Compliance & Quality

Ensure designs comply with: Industry safety standards (IEC, IS, UL - as applicable) Battery and electrical safety norms Mechanical safety and thermal standards Company quality and compliance guidelines Support safety audits, design reviews, and regulatory approvals.

Optimization & Collaboration

Optimize designs for: Cost efficiency Manufacturing feasibility Performance, reliability, and serviceability Collaborate with: Production and manufacturing teams Electrical, BMS, and R&D teams Quality and safety departments

Documentation & Improvement

Prepare and maintain: Detailed engineering drawings Bill of Materials (BOM) Technical documentation and design reports Identify design risks and implement preventive and corrective safety measures. Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to product innovation.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong proficiency in

SolidWorks

(part modeling, assemblies, simulation). Advanced working knowledge of

AutoCAD 2D & 3D

. Hands-on experience in

mechanical design simulation and analysis

. Strong understanding of

solar and energy storage products

, including: Lithium-ion battery packs Battery Management Systems (BMS) Inverters and solar power systems Knowledge of: Battery safety standards and thermal management Mechanical design standards and compliance Manufacturing processes and material selection Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet timelines. Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

5-8 years of relevant experience in the

solar, renewable energy, or battery manufacturing industry

. Proven experience in

end-to-end product design and development

. Hands-on exposure to

BMS-integrated battery systems

. Experience supporting

safety audits, compliance reviews, and certification processes
